Good Time To Become An Agent?

Many people are asking if they should learn how to become a real estate agent in this economy.  If you ask me, I think this is a very good time to become a real estate agent.  Keep in mind I did not say this is a good time to make money in the real estate market.  No in fact if you are in it to make money in the short-run, it is not a good time.  But if you want to get some experience and build relationships, it is a great time.  Right now, what I suggest people do is stay at your full-time job but invest a little bit of money to get your license and do real estate part-time.  Once you learn more about the industry and establish some relationships, the market will pick back up.  Once the market picks back up, you can go and do real estate full time.  The key here is patience, persistence, and networking.  You will not make much money in real estate at this time.  But if you wait it out, you can make a buttload of money later by tapping into your large network that you spent years establishing.  Remember, jobs such as real estate is a lot about who you know as much as it is about what you know.
